Mario Batali: Grilling Contest

Submit your best grilling recipe and video demonstration (three (3) minutes maximum) for a chance to win! The winner and a guest will enjoy a once in a lifetime VIP weekend at Texas Motor Speedway including the ultimate pre-race tailgate party with Mario Batali and Rachael Ray at the Dickies 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on November 2nd.

$1.00 will be donated to The Food Bank For New York City for every entry received (minimum of $5,000 up to $20,000) from our friends at

April 28th — July 30th — Submit your recipe and video demonstration.

August 1st — September 12th — Select video submissions will be available for viewing while recipe entries are being reviewed and judging is taking place.

Mid — September — The seven quarter-finalists will be chosen by a qualified judging panel. Those seven videos and recipes will be posted on the contest site for viewers to rank (only one vote per email address). The top three highest ranked entries at the end of the two week period will go on to the semi-finalist round.

October — The three semi-finalists will be announced on the contest site. A qualified judging panel will then judge the semi-finalists. The grand prize winner will be announced in mid-to-late October which announcement may be made on The Rachael Ray Show. The grand prize winner and a guest will be joining Mario Batali and Rachael Ray at Texas Motor Speedway on November 2nd.

The winner and a guest will be treated to a VIP race weekend including:
— Air and hotel accommodations (restrictions may apply – see Official Rules for details).
— The ultimate tailgate party with Mario Batali and Rachael Ray on November 2nd where the winner and his/her guest will grill up the winning recipe.
— VIP suite tickets for the O’Reilly Challenge and Dickies 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.
— The winner and a guest will be able to mingle with the drivers and cars pre-race time all weekend with special Infield/Cold Garage Passes.
— Once in a lifetime pace car ride for the winner around Texas Motor Speedway.
— Weekend membership and dinner for two Saturday night at the exclusive members-only Speedway Club (restrictions may apply – see Official Rules for details).
